About The Arc

The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC is a non-profit human services agency which provides advocacy and services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in Oneida and Lewis counties. The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is one of 55 chapters in the statewide NYSARC, Inc. (the largest not-for-profit agency in the nation serving persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.)

The Arc was started in 1954 by a group of parents who envisioned a rich full life for their children with special needs. The parents who started The Arc believed their children could learn and grow to become participating members of the community.

The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter provides a full spectrum of educational, vocational, employment, residential, family support, Medicaid service coordination, guardianship, respite care, recreational rehabilitation, day habilitation, senior and children’s services to people with developmental disabilities and their families.

We provide paid training. A variety of training schedules are available.

Varied flexible schedules to balance your work and home life are available such as: days, evenings, overnights, weekends, split shifts and relief hours. You provide us with your availability and we will find your match.
