We are one of the largest diagnostic and treatment centers for Osteoporosis in Central New York. The international Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) has announced that "Shane M. Sopp, M.D. FACOG, has been recognized as a Certified Clinical Densitometrist (CCD). He passed a rigorous exam on bone density testing for osteoporosis." Per the ISCD, "Dr. Sopp is to be congratulated for his dedication to achieving the high standards in education and care established by the our organization." Certification in bone desitometry is a demonstration of proficiency and is a requirement for some insurance companies and HMO’s. Dr. Sopp lectures throughout NYS on Osteoporosis and the most current treatments.
