| Quality Long Term, Short Stay and Alzheimers Care: One of the Southern Tier's outstanding providers of Elder Care, and short term rehabilitation for people of all ages. |
At Vestal Nursing Center “our roots are loving care” is the motto by which we we live and work. For over forty years the Vestal Nursing Center has strived to help our residents live life to the fullest. Our goal: to provide high quality, individualized care to each resident, in a way that promotes dignity, comfort and support. In this way, residents reach their highest level of physical, emotional, and psychosocial functioning and well-being (for more on our mission: see www.vestal-nursing.com/mission).
Our excellence in Short Term Rehabilitation Care has made us the choice for people of all ages who have been discharged from the hospital and need therapy or care before they return back to their normal pace of life (includes but not limited to orthopedics and joint replacement, amputations, stroke, cardiac care, woundcare). Vestal Nursing Center employs the most experienced team of physical, occupational and speech therapists in the Greater Binghamton Region. See www.vestal-nursing.com/rehabilitation.
Vestal Nursing Center is more than a nursing home. Our long term care is more than just the quality nursing and medical care we provide. Our eden-like environment creates a loving climate with animals and plants and the companionship of children and teens. Daily our facility is alive with a variety of social events, festivals and a full events calendar(see www.vestal-nursing.com/recreation). In fact our social events program has received a Best Practice Award from the New York State Department of Health.
As life spans increase, the chance for Alzheimer’s to strike the elderly increases as well. Here at Vestal Nursing Center, our work with our residents affected with dementia/dementia is some of the best in the area. We provide daily activities that keep the mind and spirit stimulated, a compassionate staff that understands each individuals needs and a living environment with safety features that keep our residents secure. Our dedicated alzheimers unit even has access to a pleasant yard, garden and pavilion that enhances our resident’s quality of life.
At the Vestal Nursing Center, we understand that admission to a health care center is often unexpected. Our staff are ready to assist you during this trying time, to answer all your questions and provide you with all the assistance and appropriate services you’re loved one may need as your family member joins our family as well. See www.vestal-nursing.com/admission. We’re proud that 95% of our family survey responses report that they would choose Vestal Nursing Center again.

"I wish to thank everyone at the rehabilitation center for the care I received while I was a patient there. Especially the aides, who work so hard for their patients."
"We want to take this time to let you know how much your kindness, love and compassion meant to us during my mother’s stay. You were there of us with a hug, coffee, a kind word, or just being there. We will never be able to tell you how everyone of you are such an important part of our lives. You should be very proud of the work you do – you are the best!"
"Knowing that we couldn’t be there everyday, it gave us much solace know you were caring for Mom as we would if we were there."
"Your love and care helped make his burden and ours so much lighter. You are all treasures in our eyes as Dad was blessed to have you as his friend and caregivers."
