Midland Care Connection provides quality of life services with compassion and commitment to the preservation of dignity for those at the end of life with a focus on family and community. Midland Care is a not for profit healthcare option for patients facing life threatening illness.
Hospice House opened in March 2000 as Kansas’ first residential hospice program, providing private rooms, family rooms, lovely decks and gardens, and health services for patients without caregivers, or patients with complex care needs. Focus is on quality of life care for both the patient and their family.
Midland PACE Services provides healthy living options for individuals who are able to remain in their own home and with their friends and family. Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly, PACE’s focus on preventative care, helps keep participants out of nursing homes and hospitals with an emphasis on quality of life, providing:
• Nursing services
• Home health aide services
Midland Adult Day Programs, Inc. focusing on active healthy living for patients and their families, providing child care and bereavement programs.
Midland’s Bereavement Services offer both group and individual counseling for those who have experienced loss. Bereavement services provide compassion and commitment to the preservation of dignity for those at the end-of-life, through:
• Grief support groups
• Individual bereavement sessions
• Book discussion groups
• Camp Caris
• Art and music therapy
The Education Center provides education to staff, health professionals and members of the community about end-of-life, bereavement and caregiving issues.
