What we do
Beaver Dam Water Control & Construction is a locally owned and operated waterproofing and remodeling company that services the southern tier of New York and the northern tier of Pennsylvania. We are currently in our tenth year of operation and are dedicated to customer service.
We offer a time-tested basement water control system, suitable for both residential and commercial applications, which comes complete with a lifetime warranty. We look at the entire situation, realizing that every home and water problem is unique, before suggesting a solution that is right for you. Our professionals will walk you through the entire process from start to finish and answer all your questions to your satisfaction.

Who will diagnose your problem
Cliff Creech- Cliff has 20 years of construction experience, the last ten as the hands-on owner/operator of Beaver Dam.
Jeff Mowatt- Jeff is our Waterproofing Crew Chief, and is an expert in solving water problems.
Howie- Howie is the official Beaver Dam mascot (yes, we realize he is a pug and not a beaver) and is available for personal appearances by request. Like the rest of us, he loves to go to work!
How it works
Once we have determined the source of the water into your home, our trained professional will make a recommendation to solve your problem. In many cases, the water is coming in at the area where the floor meets the wall. This problem is typically caused by water collecting around the foundation and pushing through this weak point. Its next stop is your basement floor.
Our primary solution for this problem is the patented Beaver baseboard drainage system, which collects this water before it has a chance to damage your property. It is a cost-effective, minimally-invasive, proven cure for basement water problems. Whether your basement is finished or not, we can install our system for you with a minimum of mess, since it doesn’t require digging up the entire perimeter. It works for poured walls, concrete block and even field stone.
This system can be installed both residentially and commercially. In fact, the Beaver baseboard system has been installed in such locations as the University of Notre Dame, the Hoover Dam facility and even Fort Knox! One of the many advantages of a baseboard style system is that we can keep your finished walls intact, and then when the job is done, we can hide the system inside the wall with custom-made trim boards. Only you will know it’s in there quietly doing its job. The first Beaver baseboard system was installed in 1965, and those initial systems are still in place today. Our warranty states that your system will not leak as long as you own your home.
Once the water is collected, we drain it to your new submersible sump pump. We use top of the line materials to ensure that the water is safely and effectively drained outside your home.

Basement Remodeling
Once we have tackled that basement water problem, many of our clients see how that space in their home could be put to much better use. Whether it be an office, a home gym, a family room, an extra bathroom, a playroom for the kids, or a complete basement remodel, Beaver Dam can do it all.
By finishing your basement and utilizing that unused area, homeowners can typically add thirty to fifty percent more usable space to their home.
Custom Carpentry
We build decks, install ceramic tile, build additions, install and finish sheetrock, remodel kitchens and bathrooms, install windows, and of course finish off that basement- often the most untapped resource in your home. We’ll also take on some of the more unique construction challenges, such as bay window seats, custom trim jobs, tile backsplashes, and updating your older home to the 21st century. For example, not happy with that standard plastic shower stall? We’ll build you a custom shower area using your favorite ceramic tile and tailoring it to your needs.
We offer design services and will walk you through the entire project from start to finish, ensuring that there are no surprises. We’ll help you bring your ideas to life!
Handicapped Accessibility
We have a special interest in this aspect of construction, and will work with you to be able to better utilize your home, whether it be access ramps, accessible decks, making the kitchen and bathrooms easier to use or simply widening a doorway.
