Our goal at Distant Lands in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas is to preserve the work of cultural artisans throughout the world, thereby supporting the continuation of those traditions in Distant Lands.
We are constantly traveling the globe and bringing unique items to the Rio Grande Valley to make it possible to accent your life, and create your own personal sanctuary by surrounding yourself with objects from around the world. Interior décor from Chile, Peru, Indonesia, Mexico, France, Thailand and India. These items include hand painted textiles, silk lanterns, unique jewelry, ceremonial masks and art from around the world, as well as here in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We are currently exhibiting works by several local artist, and are continually seeking more for our upcoming Distant Lands art events.

We will be leasing exotic tents for special themed events, featuring hand made tents with themes that include Asian Fusion, Moroccan Magic, and, of course, Arabian Nights! Additional special themes are available upon request.
