Flooring America is a locally owned full service flooring store. Flooring America is a member of the largest floor covering group in the world. World wide our group includes over 3600 specialty flooring retailers. This world wide presence, allows us access to the most fashionable products in the floor covering industry. Style, fashion and quality at the best value in town.
Flooring America features carpet, ceramic and porcelain tile, laminate, hardwood, bamboo, cork, vinyl, area rugs, window blinds and carpet cleaning. Our products are designed by such notable manufactures as Shaw, Mohawk, Beaulieu, IVC, Dal Tile, American Olean, Quickstep, Armstrong, Mannington, Anderson Hardwoods, Royalty, Bambo Bamboo, Oriental Weavers, Gulistan, Konecto and Natural Cork.
Many of our manufactures feature products that meet the standards for “Green Floor Covering” under LEED guidelines. These fashionable styles are environmentally responsible. The hardwood, bamboo, cork and linoleum are from sustainable forest sources. “Green” carpets are made from recycled pop bottles, vegetable oils, recyclable and recycled fibers.
Our knowledgeable staff can assist you through all phases of your project including design, selection, measuring and installation. Flooring America only uses professional installers that are licensed and insured. Our goal is to have more people live, work and play on our floors than any other flooring company in the USA.
Who We Are:
Flooring America was originally known as Hall of Carpets. Tom and Mary Hall started the store in 1976. We moved into our current location, the old Ethan Allen store, in 1989. In 1995 we joined the Flooring America co-op and changed our name in 2000. Tom and Mary retired in June of 2002 selling the store to two long term employees.
Dan Ginnaty started with the store in 1984 as a salesman. He eventually became the manager and now is the co-owner. Dan is married to Carolyn with two girls and four grandkids. Dan was raised in Great Falls. His introduction to the flooring trade came in 1966 by his dad John, a long time local flooring installer. He is well rounded in all flooring products and specializes in property management and commercial projects.
Jerry Traxinger is married to Linda with four kids and seven grandkids. Jerry came to Great Falls in 1968 with the Air Force and finished his military career 31 years later with the Montana Air National Guard. His flooring career starting in 2000 as a salesman and he joined Dan as co-owner in 2002. Jerry is knowledgeable about all flooring and specializes in new home projects.
Rose Kummer is married to Mike with a blended family of six kids and eight grandchildren. Rose graduated from high school in Fort Benton. She has a design degree from MSU College of Technology. This degree is backed up with 19 years of real world design experience. Rose’s specialty is master bath suite design. She is fluent in kitchen layout, all flooring types and window coverings. Rose’s forte is design and product selection including paint and furniture co-ordination.
At Flooring America we strive for the exceptional. We try every day to fulfill our friend’s dreams. Each day brings us closer to this ideal. Although perfection can never be attained we still strive for it.
What We Do:
At Flooring America we work with our customer’s to identify their wants, needs and desires and incorporate these elements into their homes and offices. Our sample selection includes carpet, vinyl, laminates, area rugs, tile, cork, wood flooring and commercial products. Additionally we have carpet, remnants, vinyl, laminate and ceramic tile in stock for immediate delivery. If you cannot make it to our showroom we can bring samples to you with our shop at home service.
Flooring America works in the remodeling, new home construction, property management, commercial and insurance restoration fields.
Our work is not finished with product selection but also includes skilled installers to complete your project.
