With all of the storms since 2004, the need and demand for residential standby generators has rapidly increased. People all over Florida and the Gulf Coast have felt the impacts of extended power outages. Power On, LLC offers a solution to this issue using Automatic Standby Generators.
Automatic Standby Generators are permanently installed outside your home, much like your AC compressor. It's wired into the home and connected to your Circuit Panel through an Automatic Transfer Switch. Once the system is fully connected, it can sense when you lose utility power, if power is not restored after 10 seconds, it will automatically
crank up the generator, bring it up to operating speed, generating its own power, then the Automatic Transfer Switch will swap your power demand from the utility over to the generator. Now you can run your home or parts of your home on the generator power until the utility power is restored.
This Transfer Switch isolates the power at your home, so there is no worry it will feed back down the power line. Once utility power is restored, the system will send you back to utility power once it senses you have good clean power. It then performs a cool down cycle usually under 2 minutes, and then shuts itself down. The great thing about Automatic Standby Generators, is they are always ready to go, unlike noisy portable generators which run on Gasoline, that constantly need to be refilled and gum up when you don't run them routinely, standby generators use either LP or Natural Gas, run once a week to test the engine and keep everything lubed. Best of all, everything is automatic,
you don't have to do anything.
